DESCRIPTION:Plunge into Greenwood Lake this Winter to help fund the GWL Skatepark in memory of Dale Hirrel! \nRegister as a “Plunger” -OR- register as a “Chicken” if you don’t want to jump in the lake! Sign up for the Polar Plunge and help fund the GWL Skatepark in memory of Dale Hirrel. \nDale always dreamed of having a place to skate in his town and with your help we are making his dream come true! Dale was taken from us in a tragic car accident in April 2016. He always brought smiles and light into his friends and family’s lives and his favorite activity was skateboarding! Skateparks build and sustain healthy communities\, providing a safe and controlled environment for people to practice the art of skateboarding\, develop their skills and share tips and experiences with one another. Learn more about our mission and Dale’s story at www.gwlskatepark.com. \nThe Polar Plunge is taking place during the second day\, Sunday\, February 16th\, of the Greenwood Lake Winter Carnival! \nThe 2nd Annual Greenwood Lake Winter Carnival\, hosted by the Village of Greenwood Lake & the Greenwood Lake Chamber of Commerce\, will be held at the Thomas P. Morahan Waterfront Park. The free event is set for President’s Day weekend\, February 15th and 16th. Outdoor and indoor activities and contests for kids and adults. Enjoy great food\, drinks and entertainment! Snow tubing and ice events\, weather permitting. Put on your suit and join the Polar Plunge for a great cause or get out your cold weather gear and enjoy the winter festivities! Follow the Winter Carnival on Facebook for all the details @gwlwintercarnival. \nEvents and contests will be going on all day for kids and adults. Vendors will be selling crafts\, food and beer! Get out your cold weather gear and enjoy the winter festivities! \nWinter Carnival Parking:\nThere will be NO PARKING at the Thomas P.
